NOTICE:
ALL
OF THE CLOSED PROXY SERVERS AND DOMAIN NAMES LISTED ON THIS PAGE ARE OWNED AND
OPERATED SOLELY BY THE PROXY CONNECTION. ONCE YOU SIGN
UP AND BECOME OUR CLIENT WE GRANT YOU FULL LEGAL PERMISSION TO USE
THEM.
Current HTTP Proxy Server And Virtual
List Setup
Information Each
program that you use should have a section in their configuration for Proxy Setup.
The following information will be asked for. If your Internet program does not
have a proxy configuration area, use sockscap as shown in the Socks proxy
setup instructions linked in the support
section of this web page. If you need setup instructions for Netscape or Internet
Explorer you will find them here. HTTP
AND SOCKS PORTS: If
you are setting the proxy up in your browser, such as Internet Explorer or
Netscape, use the HTTP Ports listed in the tables below. If you are setting up
the proxy server for other programs using SOCKS, use the SOCKS ports. CURRENT
HTTP SERVERS LIST: There
are many different server choices. As a Proxy Connection client you can choose
from any of the proxy
servers listed below. Be sure to use the correct port for the server that
you decide to use or the proxy will not work. If you change your server name,
always remember to change your port for the new server. -
STANDARD
PROXY SERVER NAMES AND PORTS
STANDARD
NAMES The
names of these servers will sometimes show others that you are on a proxy.
Our
standard proxy servers use the standard port 8080 and 1080. When you use these
standard names and ports, others can easily see that you are using a proxy server.
NORMAL
LOOKING ISP NAMES You
may decide to use a name that makes it appear that you are on a normal telephone
modem, CABLE, or DSL account. The Proxy Connection provides you with a wide variety
of normal looking Internet provider domain names. These domains will fool almost
anyone into thinking that you are using an ISP located in your choice of areas
around the world. VANITY
PROXY SERVER NAMES Vanity
names can help you to express yourself (i.e. dumb.internet-nobody.com) or make
you look important (i.e. geneva.united-nations.org). Using vanity names can add
a touch of fun to your Internet surfing experience, while at the same time keeping
you anonymous and safe. NO
NAMES - SHOWS IP ADDRESS ONLY You
may not want a name to show when you are surfing the Internet. For this reason
we have designed some proxy servers without reverse DNS. When you use one of the
proxy servers from the 'no names' list below, all that people will see on their
side while you surf is an IP address that does not trace back to your real ISP.
NEW
- FIREWALL TUNNELING PROXIES - SPECIALLY CONFIGURED
TO TUNNEL UNDER FIREWALLS You
can now use your choice of ANY Internet program, even when your network has been
firewalled to only allow a few administrator selected programs.
These tunneling proxies will use the ports of allowed programs or services to
connect you to the outside world! These proxy servers use the same ports that
are used for programs such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, Telnet, PcAnywhere,
Pop Mail, IMAP, SQL, VNC, SMTP, FTP, News and a large number of other everyday
Internet programs and services. Tunneling proxies will allow you to use "allowed
program ports" for your other Internet programs that the firewall is blocking.
For
additional information or support with using these servers please see our firewall
support area. The
firewall ports and other information are provided in the proxy
list.
EXTRA STEALTH SERVERS - NOW EVEN HARDER TO SEE
THAT YOU ARE ON A PROXY These
servers will help hide the fact that you are using our proxy service. Internet
WHOIS will not show The Proxy Connection as the owner of the domains, neither
do they use the same Proxy Connection name servers.
These domains are registered through our new DBA in Canada. The proxy servers
are located IN-HOUSE on our secure private network.
STEALTHED
USER_AGENT SERVER LIST - HIDES
BROWSER VERSION AND OPERATING SYSTEM These
servers filter the user agent and will hide your browser and operating system
information when you browse the Internet. If
you want to hide this information, you can use any of the servers listed in our
NO USER_AGENT
list. There are some web sites that need to see your browser version information.
If you have problems getting a web page to work, try changing the proxy server
to one of our other servers that do not filter the user_agent data.
Note: These
servers may have problems viewing some java web pages.
STEALTH SECRET SERVERS - EXTRA STEALTH
ON HIGH PORTS AND SECRET These
extra stealth servers use high ports to avoid detection of proxy scanning scripts
that scan default proxy port ranges. These servers are also hidden and can only
be viewed by our proxy clients. Those that have problems with channel bans will
benefit from this proxy list, because outsiders do not have the access to view
this special section.
As like our other extra stealth servers, these
servers will help hide the fact that you are using our proxy service. Internet
WHOIS will not show The Proxy Connection as the owner of the domains, neither
do they use the same Proxy Connection name servers.
These domains are registered through our new DBA in Canada. The proxy servers
are located IN-HOUSE on our secure private network. -
NETWORKS,
MACHINES AND IP BLOCKS
At
the top of each proxy list below, you will see a header like the one below:

NETWORK
NUMBER Next
to each proxy server name you will notice a tab with information about the IP
block and network. This information can be helpful to you when testing for network
speed. The bandwidth usage may be lower on network #1 than network #2. By knowing
what servers are on each network, you will know which proxy server names to use
that will bring you the best results. New networks will be added as they are needed
to keep our service running at maximum performance and speed.
MACHINE
Next
to each proxy server name you will notice a tab with the machine number. This
information can be helpful to you when testing for network speed. The CPU usage
may be lower on machine #1 than machine #2. By knowing what servers are on each
machine, you will know which proxy server names to use that will bring you the
best results.
New proxy machines will be added as they are needed to keep our service
running at maximum performance and speed.
IP BLOCK
The
IP block information can help you when you have been banned from an Internet service,
or are using multiple computers on our proxy service. If someone looks up the
IP address for the domain name, it can help provide additional stealth if each
computer is on a different sub net. If one computer was using a domain
that had the IP address of 12.148.162.99 and the other computer on the proxy was
using IP address 12.148.162.98, even though the domain names were totally different
it may prompt someone to look further. On the other hand, if the first computer
was using 216.41.21.40 and the second computer was using 199.105.112.139 it would
appear to the person looking that the two computer users were not related.
NEW
- SERVICE OR PROGRAM
This
section is used for our Firewall Tunneling servers. These special servers are
used when you are behind a firewall that blocks you from using Internet programs
or services. To work these servers simply identify what services your firewall
will let you use. If the firewall will let you use your Internet browser i.e..
Internet Explorer or Netscape, your firewall is allowing you to connect to remote
port 80 to view web pages. You can now setup your programs that would not previously
work to use our proxy connecting through port 80. If your firewall will allow
you to send mail connecting to an outside SMTP server, use our proxy on port 25.
A wide variety of common ports are provided in this proxy
list. For more support on this topic please see our firewall
support area.
STANDARD PROXY SERVER NAMES LIST
You can simply copy and
paste any of the proxy server names shown below into your proxy configuration.
Be sure to use the correct port for each proxy server. You can also use the IP
address in place of the server to avoid dns problems, but if we ever change the
IP address for that server it will no longer work. In this case you will need
to come back to this list to get the new IP.
