The Proxy Connection Web Proxy servers are used for browsing
the web. You can choose different domain names using a drop
down menu to anonymously browse as. When using the web proxy
interface, there are no special configuration requirements
because it is accessed through our web page. For this reason,
this service is compatible with virtually ALL ISP's. While
using our web proxy you can have our server remove cookies,
scripts, banner ads and change the domain name that you
are coming from on the fly.
Once
you have your account information, you can access the web
based proxy servers from the URL's below. The web proxy
does not require any configuration to use. Simply click
on one of the URL's below and have the proxy user name and
password handy.
Secure
/ Encrypted Anonymous Web Proxy This
is the same as above, but it is on a secure server.
When you use this secure tunnel to connect to web pages
or web email, your connection can not be sniffed.

SOCKS
5 And Sockscap Support
If the Internet program that
you are using does not have a proxy setup, you can still
use it on our proxy server to hide your connection while
on the Internet. This can be done by using third party programs.
The common program of choice is called sockscap. Sockscap
is a freeware program put out by NEC. Many people like using
sockscap when they have many different Internet programs
because once sockscap is configured for the proxy server,
you do not need to configure any of your Internet programs.
Simply click and drag your Internet programs into the sockscap
program control window, start the program, and you are running
on the proxy! It is this easy. Full instructions for downloading

Proxy Email
Many
people think that by signing up for a free email service
that their real information will not show up in the email.
The fact is that anyone can view the email headers and find
out who your real ISP is. In many cases, once this information
is known, it is not a hard task to go on to the next step
and obtain your real name, address, and telephone number.
Unlike free email services, when you use our private email
server, NONE of your real ISP information shows up in the
email headers.
The proxy email account is a new unique
email address that we provide you with. It can be used when
you want to send email that does not show your real provider.
i.e. Your real home state, city, and many times enough of
your name information where someone can look you up in a
telephone book if you are listed.
It
can be extreemly difficult to configure your third party
email programs such as outlook and others to hide your IP
address while using a proxy and an email address from your
ISP. These programs can easily show your real IP address
or information about your ISP. If you are using a local
ISP, the domain name alone can give away your location or
information about you. Sometimes the ISP email address will
be your real last name and the ISP being local will give
away your location. When you want to send private email
you should use our web based email page. This is simular
to a hotmail account, only it does not show where you are
connecting from. If you consider yourself an expert configuring
proxy servers, you can attempt to use our SMTP server LOCKDOWNCORP.COM.
The only trick to sending mail through our server is that
you must be using our proxy IP's while connecting to our
server to relay mail.
You cannot use this email address or other LockDown services
for any kind of illegal activity or SPAM. Our penalty for
spam abuse is $25.00 per message and your account will be
terminated. In addition, some states have anti spam laws
that allow the person receiving the message to sue the owner
of the equipment for up to $500.00 per message. In these
cases LockDown Corp. will turn over your personal information
on request. i.e. If it was found that a bulk mailing was
sent out from you and your account with us was terminated
for this reason, your information would be provided to the
person or organization requesting it from any state with
an anti spam law.
Because
of ISP issues which include host allow lists and relay configurations,
we do not offer support for SMTP mail configuration. If
you can not get it to work, simply use our mail client via
our web based email system. If you would like your email
forwarded to another email address simply send an email
to our support department with this request and the email
address that you would like it to forward to.
Private
Web Page When you signup with the Proxy
Connection, you will receive an FTP account to upload your
web page into your proxy account. This new web space can
be used for a personal web page which helps in securing
your privacy by having web space that does not lead back
to your current ISP or home town.
